IN HAITI…
Since the earthquake, many people are still living in makeshift housing.
Poor living conditions leave people open to elements like rain, disease, and crime.
Most houses cost around $6,000 to build and can take a family around 10 years to save up and build.
Almost every living condition in Haiti is unsanitary and has no running water or septic systems.
An average of 7 Haitians live in each 400 square foot dwelling.
WE’RE BUILDING UP HOPE BY…
Building homes for displaced families.
Repairing or rebuilding homes found in poor condition.
Supplying jobs for Haitian workers.
Providing masonry and general construction training for Haitians.
YOU CAN GET INVOLVED BY…
Financially giving to the Blocks of Hope Program, providing funds for the building and reparation of Haitian houses in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Collecting currently needed resources for our home building projects.
Attending a trip into Haiti or the D.R. to participate in the building of Haitian homes.
